Guiding in Grand Canyon National Park

Danielle is a native of Boston and spent many years hiking and skiing in and around the mountains of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine before relocating to Phoenix, AZ.  While in Phoenix she enhanced her hiking and backpacking skills exploring many parts of Arizona and Utah, including several trips into Grand Canyon National Park. 

Her Outdoor Industry career began in Outdoor Retail.  Working in large and small shops beginning as a cashier ending as a department manager.  

Currently she guides for the nationally based Fitpacking and the Colorado based Colorado Mountain Expeditions, and Pikes Peak Alpine School. In addition to guiding she teaches outdoor education for Colorado Mountain College, Red Rocks Community College and trail building skills for the Outdoor Stewardship Institute. 

In her spare time she is actively involved in community organizations. Leading trail crew for Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado; is a Peak Steward for the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative; teaches for the Backpacking School and is a Trip Leader of the Colorado Mountain Club. 

She is currently certified as a Wilderness First Responder, is a Leave No Trace Trainer and has completed her AIARE 1 Avalanche Training. Danielle lives in Denver and is excited exploring all that the Rocky Mountains and Centennial State have to offer.
