My leadership skills developed over years of managing volunteers through non-profit organizations. Many of my first experiences were day-trips. Eventually, I began leading week long volunteer trail work projects throughout the United States. Those trips took me to seventeen different States and were some of my first backpacking outings. In 2014 after a career shift I professionalized my excursions by becoming an official wilderness guide. Initially leading day hikes, then progressing to backpacking trips. Now I have included high peaks and summits.
