2-day ascent of Pikes Peak via Barr Trail
Beginning in Manitou Springs on day 1, hike 6.5 miles to Barr Camp (10,200′). Evening spent at the camp. Day 2 consists of another 6.5 miles to the summit of Pikes Peak (14, 110′). Take the shuttle down Pikes Peaks highway to the trailhead.
3-day ascent of Pikes Peak via Barr Trail
Beginning in Manitou Springs on day 1, hike 6.5 miles to Barr Camp (10,200′). Spend the night at the camp. Day 2 consists of another 6.5 miles to the summer of Pikes Peak (14,110′). Then turnaround and descend those same 6.5 miles back to Barr Camp. Spend another evening at the camp. Day 3, head back down the remainder 6.5 miles to the Barr Trailhead in Manitou Springs.
